Overcome Eating Disorders

  • Establish stable, healthy eating habits
  • Manage difficult feelings without starving or stuffing them
  • Feel normal and calm around food
  • Start leading a healthier, happier life

No one expects to develop an eating disorder. So, it may come as a shock when your efforts to control eating and weight start feeling out of control. In fact, eating disorders are about trying to feel better on the inside by controlling what's on the outside, namely our weight, shape and eating habits. We often use food to cope with sadness, worries, anger or boredom. Or, we may obsess about meals or restrict what we eat to distract ourselves from what's really bothering us. Such efforts to feel better and in control may work at first. But eventually we will feel much worse, powerless, or even hopeless.
